Single Trial Hemodynamic Response Estimation in Event Related fNIR Spectroscopy
This study examines single trial hemodynamic response estimation in event-related fNIR spectroscopy. In a working memory task, the estimates of single trial hemodynamic responses in dorsolateral prefrontal cortex are compared across subjects. ©2003 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (300.6340) Spectroscopy, infrared; (070.0070) Fourier optics and optical signal processing
متن کاملThe Neural Impulse Response Filter
The neural network filter architecture presented in this paper is well suited for a restricted class of nonlinear adaptive filter applications. Our filter can model systems with long time responses and it is able to learn to take into account additional parameters that influence the filter response nonlinearly. Our filter was successfully used in a biomedical application for the removal of the ...
متن کاملEvent-related fMRI and the hemodynamic response.
Event-related functional magnetic resonance imaging (ER-fMRI) methods are allowing a new spectrum of task designs to be explored with brain imaging techniques. Individual trial events can be presented rapidly, in randomly intermixed order, and the hemodynamic responses associated with individual trial events appreciated. The basis of ER-fMRI is that the hemodynamic response tracks neuronal acti...
متن کاملFinite Impulse Response Neural Networks
A neural network architecture, which models synapses as Finite Impulse Response (FIR) linear lters, is discussed for use in time series prediction. Analysis and methodology are detailed in the context of the Santa Fe Institute Time Series Prediction Competition. Results of the competition show that the FIR network performed remarkably well on a chaotic laser intensity time series.
متن کاملSpin Echo Hemodynamic Impulse Response at 7 T
Introduction Understanding the mechanism of neurovascular coupling underlying the BOLD fMRI signal is contingent on the accurate spatial and temporal characterization of the hemodynamic impulse response (HIR), linked specifically to the microvasculature (capillary bed). At high field strength (≥7T), the gradient-echo (GE) HIR can differ across cortical depth [1,2], suggesting that voxels deeper...
